Mystery Trip
This weekend was beautiful, weather-wise. We did a ton of yardwork on Sunday (cutting away some of the damn ivy from the previous posts) and later that evening we grilled out. John (a friend of mine from work) Joanna, her friend from Phoenix, and Daisy (Jo's dog) came over. We drank margaritas (thanks, Jo) and ate burgers, corn, baked potatoes, and ice cream sandwiches. Daisy ate leftover corn cobs. It felt like the beginning of summer...And then it started snowing an hasn't stopped for the past 2 days. It has seriously been comical. Our neighbors have rows of gorgeous tulips, covered in snow. I really don't mind it. After two days of weather in the 70s, you really don't mind a good snowstorm. I wish it was like that all year round - highs in the 80s one day, blizzard the next. It would definately be more interesting.
So the past couple of days have been fairly uneventful for us. We've been spring cleaning out house, inside and out, so we've been listing things we don't need on ebay and selling the bigger stuff on Craigslist. We hope to get some yardwork done this week, since we'll be out of town this weekend.
Where are we going? I DON'T KNOW! About a month ago, Chris told me to block the weekend of April 21st, because we're going somewhere, and it's a surprise. We're leaving early Friday morning and getting back Sunday night. I can't believe how well he keeps a secret! I'm dying to know where we're going, but the boy won't spill it. He's been giving me "clues" this week, though. Monday's clue was a packing list, which blew my theory that we were going camping, because why would I need a dress to camp in? Other things on the list include sunglasses and a bikini, so it's probably not Jackson Hole, which was another of my guesses. Today's clue was a word jumble that I haven't been able to figure out. Wherever we're going, I'm totally excited!!!!!!!
