Last Weekend of April, in Bullets

I hate doing bullet posts, but last weekend was one of those wonderful weekends during which I was so busy that I couldn't find a second to write. So, bullets it is.

  • Friday night was a zoo fundraiser, "Bowling for Rhinos". Our friends Scott and Jessica came with their kids. It was a great time, but I bowled horribly. That doesn't matter, though, because I won a bowling ball, and we won a night's stay in Moab and two mountain bike rentals. Sweet, I guess we're going mountain biking this Summer.

  • Saturday morning we got up early to go to Jesse and Sharon's house to watch the NFL draft. We drank mimosas and ate eggs and laughed at Matt Leinart not being drafted right away. We watch 6 hours of that, and then headed out...

  • to get ready to go camping! Yay, first camping trip of the season! We drove out to Antelope Island in the Salt Lake, which, to our surprise, there were a lot of campers. We met the same friends from Friday night there, and aside from the bugs (there were tons) it was a great time. I got the best night of sleep that I've had in a while, and woke up refreshed on Sunday.

  • We came back home on Sunday and spent the day cleaning the garage. I mowed the lawn for the first time this season, and we've been admiring our yard every chance we get, because we're dorks.

  • We ended Sunday by going out to dinner with our friend John from work. There is a really, really good Indian restraunt in Sandy (suburb of Salt Lake) that we would go to a lot more if it wasn't so far away. It's not that far, it's far for Salt Lake, not for somewhere like LA. Anyway, it was worth it, because it was delicious and we got to go to John's house afterwards and play with his spastic cat.

It was a great weekend, and it helped us avoid scraping the ceiling in our TV room, which is the project of the week at The Crack House. But that's a whole 'nother post...
