Arts Festy Fun
The baseball game was fun, and I did not make an ass of myself in front of my coworkers. I was nothing but delightful. The Bees, however, we not. They lost.So Chris and I have recently been talking about how we are having trouble keeping our house as clean as we would like to. It's bigger than my old condo (where we used to live) by a thousand or so square feet, and there is also a yard and garden to take care of. So we've reverted to making a spreadsheet, which is what we did at the condo when we first moved in together, to help us get into the groove. It's a grid, where chores are listed along the "y" axis and weeks are listed along the "x" axis, and each box contains and "A" for Ami, a "C" for Chris, or an "AC" for both of us. You probably think that this was my idea, but it wasn't. Chris came up with it, and I scoffed, but it really proved to be very helpful. There will be lots of cleaning this weekend!
It won't be all cleaning, though, as it's Arts Fest weekend!!!!!!!! The happiest weekend of the year!!!!! The Arts Fest is just damn good fun. It's so nice to be outside, drinking beer, listening to bands, and wandering around art booths. We are going to walk down there later tonight, and again tomorrow.
Tomorrow morning we are going to get up early to walk to the farmer's market. We then have a plumber coming to auger our sewer lines, and after that we will go to the Arts Festival for the rest of the day/night.
Sunday is probably when we'll get most of our cleaning done, and then Sunday night we are going to the zoo for a "sneak peak" at their new cat house, where all of the big cats will be living from now on. I'm excited to see it.
