I Voted and I Hope You Did, Too

Mountain biking was awesome! I was scared because I haven't ridden a bike in forever, but it came back quickly. My complaints are that the seat hurt my butt and the helmet felt like it was choking me. When I loosened the helmet so that it felt comfortable, Chris said it was too loose. So I rode with it in choking position.

We got to Moab on Friday around 5ish, and I passed out for an hour as soon as we checked into our hotel. I think that was related to my flu shot from that morning, but who knows. I got up an hour later and we went out drinking. We didn't stay out too late, because we wanted to pick up our mountain bikes early. We biked all day Saturday, and in case you didn't catch it the first time, it was awesome!!! We rode around in the Sand Flats area in the morning, and then brought the bikes back into town for the afternoon, where we just rode around trails in various parks. After all of the mountain biking we swam in the pool at the hotel and hot-tubbed, then showered and went out for a ridiculously lavish dinner. It was the most perfect day I've had in a while.

I took some pictures, but of course I can't download them because my laptop is still DEAD. Motherfucker.

Today is a long ass day. I woke up at 4am last night and couldn't go back to sleep. Not because I wasn't dog ass tired, but because my mind was racing. Of course I fell back asleep at 6:30am, which left me no time to get more sleep because I had to get up. I voted before work (mostly democratic, with the exception of Bob Brister - he's Green Party), then worked, and tonight I have a Neighborhood Council meeting followed by my theology class. And I'm tired because I've essentially been up since 4 fucking am. Ugh.

The rest of the week isn't looking any less busy. I should just count my blessings that I'm too busy to spend any money because I am flat broke until payday, which is on Friday. And with that paycheck I'm going to pay off the Elephant (our Honda). Sweeeeeeet! Now I just have to figure out how to get Chris on the title.
