It's a crispy fall day, here. It just feels like Halloween.
I'm going out with some girls tonight, sans boys. We're going to the Melting Pot to each cheese fondue and then going out to hear a band and get drunk. Of course, any of those plans could change at any time, because we're girls. Except the getting drunk part. That part will not change.
Tomorrow we're going to carve pumpkins. Chris' cousin's Halloween party is tomorrow night, maybe we'll take them a pumpkin. I'm going to be a gypsy and Chris is going to be an Arab shiek. Our porch is all decked out with pumpkins and spooky cobwebs. I should take a picture, although I don't have anything to download pictures to because...
Baby Delle is still dead. I need to package her up so that DHL can pick her up and take her to the laptop doctor. Chris car (which we've been trying to sell) is also dead. It won't move out of first geat. It's in the shop right now, and we'll have to decide whether to fix it or sell it broken. Good thing today was payday.
Oh, and can I just tell you how much I love the Ying Yang twins song "Dangerous"? Very much. I love it very much.

Cake, it's what's for dinner.
This is me, committing to write more often.Chris and I had a pretty lazy weekend, the highlights of which included seeing "Talledega Nights" (hilarious) and bowling a few games with our friends Jesse and Sharon. Sunday left me feeling domestic, so I cleaned, did laundry, and made an Apple Spice Cake for dinner. Joanna came over for Desperate Housewives, our not-so-guilty pleasure, and much wine was consumed.
The highlight of my day today was that I got a promotion at work! I am now a Senior Software Engineer. Woo! I make light of it, but actually I'm pretty proud. And the raise that came along with it was nice, too.
I would say we're going out to dinner tonight to celebrate, but we ate out enough this past weekend that I think we've covered it. And Chris is going out of town for work this week (stalkers take note) so he'll be eating out a lot as it is. And besides, he's making Eggplant Tostadas tonight, and who am I to stand in the way of that?
