Let Me Tell You About My Weekend, If I Can Stay Awake To Do So

Friday was a working Friday for us, but the upside to that is that working Fridays are also paydays. We went to the liquor and grocery stores, as our cupboards were bare. I made a full Indian dinner on Friday night (Malai Kofta and naan), which we ate happily. We tried to watch V for Vendetta afterwards, but I fell asleep. Big shocker. I absolutely hate (working) Friday nights, because I feel as though I should stay up and do something fun, but I can't because I'm tired at my usual weeknight time.

I would have liked to have slept in on Saturday, but I had a Community Council board retreat to attend at 9am. It was productive, and got over around noon. I went home and ate leftovers, and promptly fell asleep on the couch. I woke up feeling like shit, as I do whenever I take a nap, which is about twice a year. I absolutely hate napping. I lounged around and did nothing until the evening, at which point I started feeling better. Chris and I had tickets to an 8pm show, which turned out to be a very good one. I was feeling too lazy to eat before we left, which resulted in us making a trip to Hires Big H after the play, where my honey treated me to dinner. Awww.

Sunday was, of course, the Super Bowl. I went to the gym in the morning to make up for my being a lazy ass all day on Saturday, and also so that I could eat greasy Super Bowl fare with minimal guilt. We made cookies to take with us, and left for Jesse and Sharon's around 3pm. I thought the game was good. I was torn about who I wanted to win. I love Tony Dungy, but I hate Peyton Manning. In the end, my hatred for Manning overshadowed my love for Dungy, and I cheered for Chicago. Who lost.

Things we didn't do this weekend that we should have included:
- registering for wedding gifts
- taking our international Save the Date cards to the post office for mailing
- taking a gmat practice test (Chris)
- cleaning our office
- cleaning anything
- painting our downstairs bathroom

Oh well, there will be another weekend soon. It was nice to have a boring one.
