Bubbly

In a little while we are meeting with a wedding decorator/coordinator, because I am all about paying someone to do stuff while I sit in a hotel room and drink champagne. Which is what the morning of our wedding will consist of for me. And also because I am missing that gene that makes a person care about whether or not things match or look nice. We looked into a decorator/coordinator when someone asked me what we were having for decorations and I responded with "decorations?" What I was really thinking was "beer?" I mean, really, isn't beer all the decoration you need? And there will be wine and champagne, too. Our wedding will be splendidly decorated!

But I guess that normal people have things like tablecloths and centerpieces, which is fine. I thought "fine, we'll get linens and decorations and things." But then it was called to my attention that someone has to put UP the decorations, and that decoration-time is inconveniently scheduled for the same time as champagne-time, and whatever will we do?

I got offers from several wonderful friends that assured me that they would put up the decorations for us, which is great, but my drunken friends aren't going to stick around after the reception and take the decorations down. And the few friends I have that aren't drunken ones probably won't stay until the reception ends.

So, it turns out that there are people you can hire for this sort of thing. God bless America, and sign me up. And pour me a glass of champagne.
