Today was a payday Friday for me, not an off Friday. I thought the day would never end, and I only had to work 7.5 hours, because I was up on time from last week. But now it's over and I can pour wine down my gullet. But not for long, because I have to get prettied up so I can be Chris' date for our work's awards dinner. Yes, we work at the same place, but I didn't get invited, so I have to settle for being Chris' date. It should actually be fun. My friend John from work (well, one of them, I have 2 work friends named John) will be there with his girlfriend Monica, and they are fun. And hey, it's a free meal, and you know how I feel about that. Speaking of which, I should go and start getting ready so that I can look award-winningly excellent.
