Nothing Much To Say

Chris and I have both been sick, and I'm feeling kind of in a funk as we come out of it. I had a 3 day weekend this past weekend, as I had president's day off. Chris was not so lucky. He should have had the day off, but he is working overtime at work, so he had to work Saturday and Monday, leaving Sunday as a day for him to study.

We met up with some people to go to Chris' cousin's play on Friday night, and went out for a great dinner beforehand. The play was hilarious, and a good Friday night activity that still allowed Chris to get up on time the next day. Saturday evening we went to the mall for one of our semi-annual mall sojourns. I ended up spending WAY too much money, and I'm going to have to take some of the stuff I bought back. I just don't have enough allowance saved up for that AND the new guitar I got last week. A guy I work with referred to it as "catch and release shopping" which made me laugh out loud. Sunday night we went to Monica's house to play trivia games with her and John. I didn't win any of the three trivia games, although I held my own in the first one. Monday, as I mentioned, Chris had to work, but I had the day off. Steph had the day off, too, and Tom was working, so we spent the day going out to lunch and hanging out. My guitar showed up at some point, so I spent last night playing and falling very much in love with it. It loves me, too.

Today was the first of only 3 days that I have to work this week. It was an okay day at work. I got a visit from the guy I call "my biggest fan", which was probably the highlight of my day. I have known this guy since I started working there almost 7 years ago (in fact, he interviewed me), and he is always great to talk to. I don't see him much, so that makes it special. I call him my biggest fan because during my first year there he would always stop by and tell me of complimentary things that people had said about my work, which as a 21-year-old with my first job, I really appreciated. We left work early, as there was some school thing that Chris wanted to attend, so I made it to the gym early, and therefore have felt like I've totally had a whole evening to myself. I ate appetizers for dinner and chatted on the phone. I played my guitar a bit, played some Donkey Kong, and now I'm wasting time online. I have a "Chess For Dummies" book that I need to start reading, which I think I'll do now. Life is good.

Okay, I registered for an account. Do I know you? I don't have to, but I was just curious.
