A Good Weekend

Iron Man was awesome. Seriously, go and see it. Go. I'll wait.

Secondly, running update! New best 5K time on Saturday, 36:20. I did not do the Race for the Cure on Saturday like I was going to. Instead, I have picked a 5K race June 14th I will do instead. My goal is to take 30 seconds per week off my time until then, so my official goal for that race is 33:50.

Also on Saturday, we tilled our garden. Our car is dirty and smells like gas now. After tilling, we went up to Scott and Jessica's house so that the boys could go on a four-wheeling man date. While they did that, Jessica and I got drunk. When the boys returned we ate dinner and then played the best game ever: Guitar Hero. Ohmygod so much fun. Chris is thinking of getting a Nintendo Wii with his stimulus package (heh, that always sounds dirty when I say it) and I am fully supporting this decision.

I woke up super hung over today, about which my loving husband helpfully said "You drink a ton all the time. Why are you hung over TODAY??" And then I killed him and buried him in the freshly tilled garden. Okay, I'm kidding. I might have done that if I hadn't been so horribly weak and nauseated. Instead we planted the garden, and I happy to report that we got it completely planted. Then I drank some wine to combat the hung overness, and it totally worked. Now I am trying to watch No End In Sight, because I love me a good documentary, but it isn't really holding my interest.

The Race for the Cure races are great, but in my experience they are WAY too packed to do any real running. So probably best that you pick another one if you are going for time.

Good luck!

You know, I heard that from someone else, too. That was one of my many excuses for not running it. :)
