It Happens Every Year
So I've hit that point in the summer where I just can't get my shit together. I am having too much fun, and the order in my life suffers. It wouldn't be big deal except that it is annoying to wake up and realize that you have NOTHING to eat for lunch, so you have to buy lunch. Does that happen to other people? Things I need to do tonight include:menu plan (hates) and grocery shop (hates even more)
wax my armpits and legs (sorry if that was TMI)
paint my toenails
get a decent night's sleep
So speaking of food, I have googled "Why is gluten evil" repeatedly, to no avail. Someone please enlighten me, why is everyone giving up gluten?

Because everyone else is doing it, which is to say it's simply the next food fad. (Not counting celiacs and those with wheat allergies, which have legitimate reasons for giving up the stuff.)
It's the next fad after the anti-carb craze. Here's an article: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/08/health/08glut.html
Interesting, thanks! That's what I figured.
That first comment makes me feel much better about gluten, and the fact that I plan to give it up approximately never.
Jess - I know! I was thinking the same thing. Who can be bothered, really?
Oh - my to do list was the almost identical last night. I only got the menu planning and shopping done.
My hairy self desperately needs to re-paint my toenails. They are EMBARRASSING.
